Connection to the sky

This portrait was part of a double spread page for my illustration class.

It had taken a couple of hours for me to figure out how to transition her far to space, but by using two layers of gradients as well using an image of space.

Looking at her face I mostly stuck with lineless but used some in order help define some features of her face.
